Within is not always a place. Sometimes it is a feeling we carry, a memory
we protect, or a part of ourselves we retreat into. Painted directly onto
discarded cardboard, these figures inhabit spaces that are both physical
containers and emotional ones. They hold loneliness, tenderness, memory,
and the quiet need to be held.
